Ignorant teenager, Kyle Lang (Liam Wade) battles with a race against time as he tries to mend his relationship with girlfriend Olivia Wilstone, ( Olivia Lizzimore) a relationship that is on the precipice of ruin. After a disagreement on starting a family, Kyle finds himself in a situation where he must decide what he truly wants with his life, sacrificing his former life as he knew it.  Kyle learns to expect the unexpected in a tragic race to win his lover back, however, an explosive event leaves him to live in a lifetime of regret.

The story begins in Olivia's bedroom. Kyle is consistently texting his friends, laughing and being anti social towards his girlfriend. Olivia remains silent, quietly reading, but becomes annoyed at Kyle's insistent ignoring of her. She then confronts him about it, asking him to 'share the joke'; they have an argument about the prospects of starting a family. Olivia urges Kyle that they would be good parents and the idea of family hood is a good start to their future. Paradoxically, Kyle becomes annoyed at the idea of starting a family at such a young age and ends the argument by switching off his lamp and going to sleep. Olivia becomes extremely disappointed and contemplates whether she will be happy with Kyle long term. She wakes up the next morning and writes him a letter, unearthing the bombshell of her pregnancy. She gives Kyle the choice to meet her a Liverpool street station at 9:00am to start their lives together but also gives him the option to let her face this alone but loose her in the process. Kyle comes to the realisation that compromise is key within a relationship and realises just how much he loves and needs Olivia. He packs a bag and sets off to start his new life with Olivia.

Meanwhile, Olivia is on the bus on her way to the station. She is conflicted about the choices she has made but knows she must leave to be happy. Kyle runs to the station to try and catch the quickest train to Liverpool street whilst insistently trying to ring Olivia in the process. He is constantly taunted by her voicemail and becomes extremely agitated. He leaves her a voicemail saying he is so sorry and can't wait to start his new life with Olivia. Olivia receives the voicemail, but midway through Kyle's speech the bus she is on explodes due to the London 7/7 bombings. Kyle arrives at the station and asks a stranger when the next trains to the station are. She responds in a discombobulated manner and shows Kyle the breaking news report of the bombings. Knowing Olivia's location at the present time he hurriedly rings her. Her voicemail is heard and he becomes a broken man, forced to live a life of guilt.
