We wanted to implement Sound that correlates to the flow of our film or we would not be sending a clear message to the audience which is why Sound is a very important factor. I have done some research and taken some advice from my group of the sound that should be included in our film:

After looking through the plan of our film, we needed emotional background music to set the mood as when Olivia leaves Kyle we want the audience to feel sorry for Olivia as she is going through a lot of hardship especially when she is pregnant. We then want the background music to get more rapid through the film as Kyle decides to go after her.

The purpose of diegetic sound is so the characters in the scene can hear what is coming through the person or the object. As Kyle realises that an explosion has occurred, he is shown a news report of the London bombings which will be played through the phone, so Kyle will hear the bad news and his reaction to the news will be shown.

Both Olivia and Kyle start to talk in the first scene, as Olivia becomes distressed of Kyle's ignorance, Kyle will project his voice with anger to Olivia as Kyle hates the idea of starting a family at a young age.

Non-diegetic sound is a vital part of our production to increase the sense of realism. We decided that when an establishing shot of the location is shown, we can have birds tweeting outside.
