This is the beginning location of the movie. This is where protagonist, Olivia Wilstone, packs her bag and writes a note to her boyfriend, Kyle Lang. This is a good location, because it is very bright due to the white walls, therefore, the camera shots will be of a better quality, thus increasing the professionalism of the scene. However, it is a very confined area, due to the size of the bed, therefore, there isn’t a lot of room for the character’s to move around. As well as this, it may be hard to film with large equipment, due to the size of the room. The small size also connotes an intimae nature, symbolising the bond and love between the two characters.
In this scene, we see Olivia sitting on the bus thinking about Kyle and whether he will meet her so they can start their lives together. It may be a bit hard to film on the bus, because it is public transport based in London, therefore it will be extremely busy and unwanted background noise will be evident within the shots. This is a disadvantage, because although it increases the realism of the piece, it decreases the professionalism, because the sound will be overpowering. Luckily, there is little to no dialogue in this location, therefore, the background sound of the public wont overshadow any major diegetic dialogue. However, because the area is so busy, it will be hard to film without disruptions from the public and camera equipment could be in jeopardy due to the confined space we have due to the public. Filming on a bus is also hard due to it constantly moving, therefore the shots could be shaky and therefore lack professionalism. The public may not want to be filmed also therefore we would have to seat Olivia at the back of the bus when filming.
In this scene, we see Kyle running to try and catch the next train to Liverpool Street in order to meet Olivia. He meets a stranger and asks her when the next train is but she regretfully informs him that the train lines are down due to an explosion at Liverpool street. This is the saddest location due to Kyle’s realisation of Olivia’s death. This is a very public area, therefore the background noise as well as the amount of people within the shots could be distracted towards the main action. As well as this, we would be filming this scene in the morning, therefore it will be very busy due to the public trying to get to work. The location is also right next to a main road, therefore their would be constant interrupts during dialogue between the characters due to busy roads. Despite this, it has a cover therefore if I rains the equipment would be protected and the shots would be clear. As well as this, it gives us a lot of room to film due to the outside of the station being spacious.

Tamia’s room as a potential location due to the accessibility of the setting. We would have been able to use it whenever we needed to, which would have led to an easy and productive filming process. However, for our shots to be professional and aesthetically pleasing, we wanted a room with a lighter wall paper, in order to create in focus and bright shots with a lot of light within them and minimal colour. The fact that Tamia’s wallpaper is purple, will mean the shots will be darker than we originally intended, thus decreasing the impact we wanted to portray. As well as this, Tamia’s room offer a small amount of space, therefore it would be harder to film and the shots may end up lacking a professional finish. This location also offers a single bed, therefore the characters wouldn’t have enough room to act out our scene, therefore their acting ability would decrease in professionalism.
We chose Leila’s room as a potential location for our film, because of the modern style of the setting. We wanted Leila’s room to be very modern and bright, for our shots to have a lot of light, thus increasing the outcome of our shots. Because Leila’s room is white, it means our shots would be clearer and in focus, increasing the professionalism of our final piece. As well as this, due to the fact Leila is a member of our production team, her room would have been easily accessed, therefore it would have benefited the filing process to have used her room as our main setting for Kyle and Olivia. However, we would have been working in a confined space, due to the size of Leila’s room, therefore we could have risked damaging the equipment and the actors would have felt uncomfortable during filming as well as the cinematographer.
Our film is based on a real event, the 7/7 bombings which was situated on a bus in front of Liverpool Street station, therefore in order to make the event as historically accurate as possible within our plot, we didn’t want to use any other location for our station scene. Newbury Park Station was the most accessible station that has a direct route to Liverpool street station, therefore this is the only station we considered.
