[1] This event started from 4am- 9:47am, however, Calamity is going to be solely set on the 9:00 bus explosion. The three antagonists are three men named Mohammad Sidique Khan, Shehzad Tanweer and Germaine Lindsay. They started at Leeds at 4am and drove to Lutton.
They then travelled to central London, carrying explosives hidden inside their rucksacks. They arrived at Kings Cross Station at 8:23am. When entering the underground, all three antagonists boarded separate trains to refrain from coming across suspicious. Khan set off the bomb on a westbound circle line train going to Paddington. He detonated the device at Edgware road at 8:50am. Tanweer set his devoice off on an eastbound circle line train between Liverpool Street and Aldgate at 8:50am also. Lindsay detonated his bomb on a south bound Piccadilly Line between Kings Cross and Russel square at 8:49am. This bomb caused the most devastation.
We based our film on the fourth attack, which occurred on a double decker bus outside Liverpool street station. At around 9:00. Hasib Hussain was seen entering the number 30 bus on CCTV and detonated his bomb on the rear upper deck. We decided to base our film on this events because it was the final attack which creates a strong emotional tragedy, because it was the final explosion and could have been avoided. This forces the audience to sympathise with the protagonists, exemplifying an emotional thread throughout the plot.

52 UK residents of 18 different nationalities were killed and more than 700 were injured due to the bombings. The victims were aged between 20 and 60, rounding up to an average age of 34. Despite the fact that the antagonists are not established as central characters within the plot, we have researched them in order to have a clear vision on who the antagonists were:
Mohammed Sidique Khan. He was a 30 year old man form Beeston in Leeds. He was a married man and had a child. His occupation was the title as a learning mentor at a primary school. This idea of his lifestyle being normal and moral presents a shock on what people true intentions are, therefore we found the subject of the 7/7 bombings as an interesting incident.
Shehzad Tanweer was a 22 year old man who lived in Leeds with his parents. His occupation was working in a fish and chip shop. This exemplifies how even the simplest of people can have daunting agendas.

Germaine Lindsay was only 19 years old and lived in Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire. He has a pregnant wife and a son. This again established the sheer brutality of these antagonists. Despite the fact he has a loving family at home, he believed that killing innocent people was more important. I believe we should include background information on these men, in order for the audience to realise the idea that anyone is capable of such trauma, despite their normal lifestyles. As well as this, further background information would benefit their knowledge on the subject matter. The audience knowledge on the brutal antagonists would also allow them to sympathise more with our protagonists. However, we don’t want to bore them with sheer fact, therefore we belie we should implement the casualties and the incident at hand, rather than adding background information on the whole process.

Below are some possible newspaper articles we could implement along with the archive footage. Using newspapers will shock the audience, and exemplify to them the sheer devastation the incident has caused. As well as this, we chose these articles because we feel they connote pain and encapsulated the severity of the situation, succumbing the audience to sympathise with the victims and our central protagonists.
